FAMILY LAW: FREE YOUR FUTURE FROM YOUR PAST

Lawyer talking to family — Des Moines, IA — Solutions Law Iowa PLC

Solutions Law Iowa understands that not all families are the same. The perfect divorce agreement for one family, will not meet the needs of another. That’s why it’s important to work with an attorney who will help keep the focus on the long-term ramifications of your divorce, and minimize the trauma as much as possible. Divorce, child custody, child support, and modifications don’t have to be devastating events. Through our culture of collaboration and trust, we help our clients figure out how their family can function healthily across two homes.

Divorce and custody matters don’t have to destroy a family. If you need assistance changing your family's dynamic, our family law attorneys at Solutions Law Iowa are prepared to help you.

With limited scope and virtual representation options, we have helped clients from all over Iowa construct a healthy, healing plan for their families. We can help you, too! Call 515-244-6546 to schedule your family law consultation.

OUR FAMILY LAW SERVICES

Mediation

Our attorneys are trained mediators, skilled in the art of collaborative negotiation in even the most conflict-ridden disputes. Working to understand the needs and goals of each party, our mediators help craft a unique agreement without a courtroom battle. We believe the best agreements are the ones created by the parties, not the ones mandated by the court system.

Civil Protective Orders

A protective order, often referred to as a restraining order, is a form of protection available to Iowa residents. It is intended to protect you from intimidation, harassment, or domestic violence. If a judge finds your claim warranted, the person harassing/abusing you will be ordered to stay away for a minimum of one year.

Unbundled Services

Through our unbundled services program, attorneys at Solutions Law Iowa can provide legal representation on a limited scope in family law matters. This enables us to serve clients from all over the state through virtual appearances, increasing access to our legal system to those in rural and underserved communities. We can also work hand in hand with our clients to provide the level of service necessary – no more, no less. Our flat fee structure allows clients to pay only for what they need, and remain in control of their own case.

Collaborative Divorce

The Collaborative Divorce process is a unique alternative to the typical courtroom-based divorce. In a Collaborative Divorce, both parties, and their attorneys, agree at the outset to work through their dispute outside the courtroom. In joint meetings, the parties meet with professionals to gain insight and guidance through some of life’s biggest decisions. While the attorneys manage the legal requirements for obtaining a divorce, a financial advisor can be consulted to talk through asset and debt distribution or a child development specialist can provide age-appropriate options for custody and visitation.
